Bilal Tanzania - Visit to Tanzania by TMF Religious Advisory Board

The Religious Supervisory Board of The Mainstay Foundation visited Tanzania in July 2025 to hold its annual meeting in Tanzania.

The Board is comprised of esteemed scholars: Ayatullah Sayyid Jafer Al Hakim, Dr Sayyid Muhammad Bahrululoom, Ayatullah Sayyid Ahmed Ashkuri, and Hojatulislam Sheikh Fadhel Sahlani.

During their visit, the delegation toured the Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania in Dar es Salaam and Kigoma and also visited the Hawza. 

A dinner gathering was held for various scholars and Community leadership with an aim to fostering meaningful dialogue and strengthening scholarly ties.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Mainstay Foundation for facilitating this visit and for the invaluable guidance offered by the scholars to our institution.

The Mission  received with deep sorrow that news of the untimely passing of Dr Sayyid Muhammad Bahrul Uloom shortly after his return home. We offer our sincere condolences to his family, the Hawza scholars and students, and The Mainstay Foundation for the loss of this distinguished and beloved scholar. His legacy of knowledge and service will continue to inspire generations. Alfateha.
