Women Board Programs held in November and December 2025

The Africa Federation Women’s Board conducted two programs during the month of November and December 2025 respectively.

GHUSL & KAFAN TRAINING SESSION

This important training session was successfully conducted for the Ladies Mayyit Committees from various Jamaats across Africa on Saturday, 29th November 2025. The session was conducted via Zoom, with a practical demonstration from the Ladies Mayyit committee Dar es Salaam.

The purpose of this program was to equip and strengthen the Ladies Mayyit Committees, ensuring that no lady feels alone while performing this sacred and important duty. The session emphasized teamwork, proper procedures, and maintaining dignity and privacy for the deceased.

A separate Q&A session was also organized as part of this program to address participants’ queries and provide further clarification.

The session was appreciated by all participants and it helped foster a sense of unity, learning, and mutual support among the Ladies Mayyit Committees. The AFED Women’s Board expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Dar es Salaam Jamaat Mayyit Committee, Ladies Managing Committee (LMC), Media Team, and all volunteers for their invaluable support in making this session a success.

“ANXIETY, BURNOUT & EMOTIONAL OVERLOAD - THE MODERN WOMAN’S SILENT STRUGGLE.”


The talk organized by the Board on 22nd December 2025 was facilitated by Sister Mumtaz Ladiwala of Kigali Rwanda, who shared insights on recognizing emotional overload and managing daily stressors faced by women today. The session also included an interactive segment where questions from participants were addressed.

The session witnessed an encouraging participation of 106 attendees, including ladies joining from various Jamaats across Africa as well as from abroad, highlighting the relevance and need for addressing women’s emotional well-being.

Overall, the program helped create awareness around mental and emotional health and reinforced the importance of open conversations on these pressing issues. The strong turnout reflects the community’s interest in such initiatives, and similar sessions are encouraged in the future.
