Death Announcement - The Respected Wife of our Marja, Ayatullah al-Uzma Sayed Ali al-Hussaini Al-Sistani

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajeeun

The Secretariat of the Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaats of Africa received with profound sorrow the news of the demise of the respected wife of our Marja, Ayatullah al-Uzma Sayed Ali al-Hussaini Al-Sistani, which occurred in Najaf, Iraq on Sunday, 28^th September 2025 (5^th Rabi-ul-Aakhar 1447). The burial will, insha’allah, take place on Monday, 29^th September 2025 (6^th Rabi-ul-Aakhar 1447) in Najaf, Iraq.

On behalf of the Community in Africa, the Office Bearers and Trustees of the Africa Federation we convey our deepest condolences to our Marja, Ayatullah al-Uzma Sayed Ali al-Hussaini Al-Sistani as well as to Sayed Muhammad Ridha al-Sistani, Sayed Muhammad Baqir al-Sistani, and all members of their esteemed family on this great loss.

We request all Mumineen to remember the Marhuma with Salaatul Wahshat / Hadiya-e-Mayyit tomorrow and to recite Sura-e-Fateha for her maghfirat.
