CBG Chairman Visits India for Capacity Building Initiatives

The Chairman of the Capacity Building Group (CBG), Alhaj Shabbirhussein Khalfan, visited India from 28^th May to 7^th June 2026 to facilitate Leadership Development Programmes (LDP) and the Youth Development Programme (YDP).

During the visit, he conducted Leadership Development Programmes in Mumbai and Bhavnagar, Gujarat, and the Youth Development Programme in Mumbai. The sessions focused on personal growth, self-awareness, communication, teamwork and strengthening individual capacity to contribute meaningfully within the community. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their strengths and develop practical skills that support both personal and collective development.

In addition to the training sessions, Shabbirbhai met with the leadership of the India Federation, Council of Gujarat, Mumbai Jamaat and Bhavnagar Jamaat to discuss the importance of capacity building and the value of investing in the development of individuals across all age groups. The discussions also explored ways in which future initiatives can continue to respond to the evolving needs of the community.

The visit provided an opportunity for meaningful interaction and exchange, reinforcing the value of ongoing development efforts across different regions and strengthening the ties between the two federations for resource and expertise sharing.

The Capacity Building Group extends its sincere appreciation to the India Federation, the Council of Gujarat, Mumbai Jamaat and Bhavnagar Jamaat for their warm hospitality, support and arrangements throughout the visit. Appreciation is also extended to all local facilitators and organisers who contributed to the smooth execution of the programmes.
