Death Announcement - Mrs. Zaheeda Sadiq Alishan - Dar-es-Salaam

The Secretariat of the Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaats of Africa received with deep sorrow the news of the demise of Mrs. Zaheeda Sadiq Alishan, mother of Br. Fadhil Alishan (Vice Chairman, AFED Media Board), who passed away in Dar-es-Salaam on Saturday, 20th September 2025. The burial will inshallah take place on Sunday, 21st September 2025.

Marhuma Zaheeda bai, a dedicated educationalist, served as Chairperson of the AFED Women’s Board (2016–2019) and rendered valuable services towards women’s development across our Jamaats.

On behalf of the Office Bearers, Boards and Staff of AFED, we convey our heartfelt condolences to her husband, Sadiq bhai, her sons Fadhil and Azhar, her mother, sister, and the family.

We request all Mumineen to remember Marhuma with Salaatul Wahshat / Hadiya-e-Mayyit tonight, and to recite Sura-e-Fateha for her maghfirat and for all Marhumeen.
