Death Announcement - Alhaj Shabbir Kermalli - Dar-es-Salaam

The Secretariat of the Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaats of Africa received with deep sorrow the news of the demise of Alhaj Shabbir Kermalli, who passed away in Dar-es-Salaam on Wednesday, 10th December 2025. The burial details are currently being finalized.

Marhum Shabbir bhai was a dedicated community worker and served the Africa Federation with great commitment. He held the position of Secretary of the AFED Central Health Board, followed by Chairman of the same Board for the term 2010–2014. Marhum was also serving as a member of the AFED Emergency Task Force Team and a devoted team member of the AFTAB Annual Pre-University Program.

His demise is a great loss to the Community in Dar-es-Salaam and to humanity at large, which he served with passion and sincerity.

On behalf of the Office Bearers, Trustees, Boards, and Staff of AFED, we convey our heartfelt condolences to his wife, daughters, brothers, and the entire family.

We request all Mumineen to remember Marhum with Salaatul Wahshat / Hadiya-e-Mayyit, and to recite Sura-e-Fateha for his maghfirat and for all Marhumeen.
