Honoring the Divine Appointment of Imam Ali (a.s)
On Sunday, 22nd June 2025 (25th Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH), Bilal Muslim Organization of Uganda (BMOU) proudly hosted a meaningful and spiritually enriching Eid al-Ghadeer Celebration at Ahlul Bayt Library, Jinja. This special day marks the historic moment when Imam Ali (a.s) was divinely appointed by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) as his successor at Ghadeer Khumm.
This year’s event brought together over 50 – 60 participants from various Bilal centers across Uganda, allowing members from distant communities to join in collective reflection, learning, and celebration. The gathering reflected the spirit of unity and reaffirmed our shared commitment to the path of Wilayah.

“Celebrating Ghadeer together brought unity and joy to our hearts. We felt spiritually uplifted and connected.”— Local Attendee

This celebration not only deepened religious knowledge but also strengthened community ties. Attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose, Love for the Ahlul Bayt (a.s), and a commitment to uphold the values of Justice, Leadership, and Truth.
