AL GHADEER CENTRE – BILAL TANGA PROJECT
PROJECT PROGRESS UPDATE
Alhamdulillah, the Al Ghadeer Centre – Bilal Tanga Project is progressing well and steadily taking shape towards completion.
Following Site Meeting No. 4 and the inspection held on 11 September 2026, the project team was pleased to inform the significant progress achieved on site.
The project commenced on 15 January 2026, and the building’s structural frame is now approximately 80% complete. The 7th-floor slab was casted on 18 September 2026.
Current Project Status
The project has achieved the following milestones:
Structural Works: 80% completed
Block Works: 20% completed
Plaster Works: 10% completed
Electrical & Plumbing First Fix: 40% completed
Material Procurement
During our visit to India in August 2026, key materials required for the project, including tiles and sanitaryware, were successfully procured.
Five containers of materials have been arranged for shipment directly to Tanga Port, with arrival expected by the end of November 2026.
Planning and preparations for the procurement of additional finishing materials and other essential items are also currently underway. This proactive procurement approach will help ensure that finishing works can progress efficiently as the structural works advance.
Looking Ahead
The team was encouraged by the progress observed during the site inspection and reviewed the plans and priorities for the coming months.
The main structural works are targeted for completion by the end of 2026, while finishing works will continue progressively alongside the remaining construction activities.
The Housing Development Board remains committed to closely monitoring the project to ensure quality, timely execution, and prudent management of resources.

His continued involvement and support have been greatly valued by the Housing Development Board.
