Over the years, the Central Health Board (CHB) has been supporting community members from various Jamaats across Africa who require medical treatment both locally and internationally. While many members have benefited from this assistance, the demand for medical support continues to grow.
To ensure fairness, transparency, and timely support, and to avoid unnecessary delays, pressure, or grievances, the following process and guidelines have been established for all community members seeking CHB assistance.
Process for Seeking Medical Assistance
1. Patient Reports Submission to Jamaat
The patient must obtain relevant medical reports and submit them to their respective Jamaat, along with a formal request letter clearly specifying the type of medical assistance required.
Additionally, the patient must clearly indicate:
The name of the hospital or medical facility where treatment is intended
Whether the same treatment or facility is available locally, or if treatment abroad is being sought
2. Jamaat Vetting & Submission to CHB
The Jamaat will review and vet the case before forwarding it to the Central Health Board (CHB) of Africa Federation, including a proposed budget with a detailed cost breakdown.
3. Disclosure of Contributions
The Jamaat must clearly state:
Patient’s own contribution
Contribution from family and friends
Jamaat’s contribution
Deficit amount requiring CHBs assistance
4. CHB Support (Subject to Availability of Funds)
Based on the availability of funds/resources, CHB may contribute towards the medical case.
5. Alternative Treatment Options
Where applicable, CHB may suggest alternative treatment options, including local medical facilities, based on medical feasibility and available resources.
Community members are kindly requested to adhere strictly to the above process. This structured approach enables Jamaats and CHB to manage medical assistance responsibly while ensuring deserving cases are addressed with dignity, fairness, and efficiency.
May Allah (SWT) grant shifaa to all those who are unwell and reward all those who support healthcare initiatives within our community, Ameen.
