EVENING PROGRAMME SATURDAY, 13TH JUNE 2026

________________________________________

The evening opened at 7:30 PM immediately following Maghrib prayers, setting a devotional tone for the commemoration. Resident scholars then delivered an address on Ghadir-e-Khum, combining Qur'anic recitation with a detailed narration of Imam Ali's (a.s) appointment, deepening attendees' understanding of Wilayah. A communal Niyaz was served to all 290 participants regardless of background, easing the burden of meal preparation for families facing economic hardship and reflecting BMMU's commitment to dignity and equity for every attendee.

Towards the close of the evening, a Gifts & Awards giving session was held to honor resident sheikhs, volunteers and dedicated community members, recognizing their service and encouraging continued commitment to BMMU's mission.

Their presence, together with that of the Resident Sheikhs of Nakalanga, Najja, Buikwe, Buwenge, Kampala, Doho, Butaleja and Kibundaire, reflected the collective leadership that continues to guide BMMU's mission of service and da'wah, and served as an encouragement to attendees to remain engaged with their local centres.

A WORD OF APPRECIATION

BMMU's Administration conveyed appreciation on behalf of the organisation to all who took part in and supported the programme. The Chairman reflected on the significance of Ghadir-e-Khum as the foundation of Wilayah, thanked the Resident Sheikhs for coordinating the travel of their communities, and encouraged all present to carry the lessons of the evening back to their households. He further noted that the Gifts & Awards session was intended to honor the quiet service of volunteers, and closed by praying that the gathering be accepted and its blessings extend to all who attended.

CHAIRMAN'S ADDRESS

________________________________________

The Chairman briefed the gathering on his recent Hajj pilgrimage, encouraging every attendee to strive to visit Makkah al-Mukarramah at least once in their lifetime. Drawing a direct connection to the occasion being commemorated, he reflected at length on the significance of Ghadir-e-Khum, noting that the revelation received by the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) at Ghadir-e-Khum was not merely a statement of completion, but a declaration of the divine appointment of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s) as successor to the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). The Chairman went on to outline three eternal lessons carried by Eid-e-Ghadeer:
