The Chief of Protocol, Ammar Anwarali, formally inaugurated the conference. Chair Ali Khalfan introduced the event's structure, moderators, and the AYN Hon. Secretary, Sister Sakeena Jusab. Key conference guidelines set the tone for the MUN-style proceedings.
Second Day of the Conference: The second day started with the Holy Qur’an recitation and a Nawha. Participants were divided into six groups, each led by a moderator. These groups delved into topic-related discussions, generating resolutions presented later to the conference. After a productive morning session, participants enjoyed free time, with organized outings and activities.
Third Day of the Conference: Continuing the practice, the third day began with Qur’an recitation and a Nawha, similar to the first two days. Prepared groups showcased their resolutions, sparking discussions, challenging process and amendments. The lively interactions testified to the participants' commitment to addressing global issues affecting the youth in particular.
Leave your print campaign: During the course of the AYN Conference 2023, the media team decided to host an online photography campaign by the name of ‘Capture the Moment’. This revolved around the predominant theme of the conference ‘Leave Your Print’.
Each participant had to take a picture of anything they were inspired by, have a reflective message/caption and have the #leaveyourprint as a trending message.
We had two winners; one from the brothers (Br. Mohamedhussein Bachoo) and one from the sisters (Sr. Zahra Virjee).

Message from the Vice Chairman of Africa Federation:
“My first comments to the AYN Chairman, Br. Ali Khalfan and his team - you had really struggled and went through a lot of intricacies in the initial stages to organize the Conference, these were distressing and time consuming, however with the team’s determination and steadfastness, you ultimately triumphed, please take all these in a positive manner as a learning curve which will make you all much stronger and more determined in the future.
The Youth Conference, 2023 held in Arusha, is a landmark achievement and shall be imprinted in AYN’s book of record. On behalf of the Chairman, Alhaj Amine Nassor and my fellow office bearers, we congratulate you all for the wonderful work.
I had a session with Sheikh Ali Rajani, Brother Alihassan Kassam and Sister Ismat Khimji in Dar es Salaam recently, I was delighted to learn of the great success of the Youth Conference, 2023 and the way you and your team managed the entire Conference. It was a great task undertaken for the first time to organize the program, which included events and assemblies for the youth, both male and female, numbering to eighty-five.
May Allah (SWT) increase in your tawfeeqat and grant you more wisdom, encouragement and strength to do more and better in the coming years, Aameen.
Lastly, I am grateful to Arusha Jamaat and particularly, the Chairman, Alhaj Mustafa Virjee and the Hon. Secretary, Alhaj MohamedArif Bhimani for hosting the Closing Ceremony of AYN Conference and the dinner at Imambargha, Thank you very much!"
