To: All Community Members,

Salaamun Alaikum

عيد مبارك

May the divine blessings and grace of Allah (s.w.t.) be with you, your family and friends during this auspicious occasion of Eid-ul Fitr and may He accept all our prayers, supplications and charity performed during the Holy Month of Ramadhan, Aameen.

On this solemn occasion, let us turn our hearts and minds to our Muslim brothers and sisters across the world, who are enduring unimaginable suffering. Innocent lives are being lost, families are being torn apart, and entire communities are facing relentless oppression and grave human rights violations. The cries of the oppressed call out for justice, and it is our moral duty to stand in solidarity with them. Let us fervently pray for their safety, and for justice and peace to prevail soon in all parts of the world —Ameen.

Wishing you Peace, Happiness and Prosperity -

‘Eid Mubarak’

Kindly remember all the Marhumeens with Sura-e-Fateha.

With Salaams and Du’as,

Amine Nassor

On Sunday, March 16th, 2025, the Bilal Comprehensive School (BCS) hosted a memorable event that centered around the Quran Hifdh Competition and the celebration of the Wiladah (birth anniversary) of Imam Hassan (‘A). This special day was filled with spiritual reflection, inspiring recitations, and a strong sense of community as we honored both the teachings of the Holy Quran and the blessed birth of Imam Hassan (‘A).

The event was filled with excitement and energy as students demonstrated their dedication in memorizing and preserving the Holy Quran. The Quran Hifdh Competition featured students competing in different categories: second, third, and fifth Juz, along with an open recitation competition. The recitations were breathtaking, showcasing the students' commitment and reverence for the Quranic tradition.

Alongside the competition, the program included a variety of activities to celebrate the life of Imam Hassan (‘A). Beautiful qasida’s, a spirited quiz on 14 Surahs with active participation from both BCS and Hawzatul Ahlul-Bayt students, and a special talk show led by BCS students on the life and legacy of Imam Hassan (‘A) added to the vibrancy of the celebration.

A particularly heartwarming moment of the evening came when Alhaj Amine Nassor, Africa Federation (AFED) Chairman, and Alhaj Aunali Khalfan, AFED Vice Chairman, presented two Ziyarat tickets to Iraq to two deserving BCS teachers as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication. The evening concluded with a soulful talk and dua by Sheikh Hemed Jalala, followed by Salah and a blessed Iftar, leaving everyone spiritually enriched and grateful for such a meaningful day.

The celebrations continued to Monday, March 17th, 2025, when young reciters took the stage in the Nursery & Lower Primary Quran Hifdh Competition. Six Nursery students, who had memorized 10 surahs from the 30th Juzz, and 10 Lower Primary students, who had memorized the entire 30th Juzz, filled the room with their sweet voices and beautiful recitations. The talent and dedication of these young huffaz were truly inspiring.

A heartfelt thank you to all our generous donors and well-wishers. Your unwavering support continues to make these wonderful events possible. May our efforts be accepted, and may we remain guided by the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Ahlul Bayt. Ameen!
