The Central Health Board (CHB) of the Africa Federation has supporting the healthcare needs of the community. Two oxygen concentrator units were donated recently to Hayaat Emergency and Diagnostic Center, a 24/7 medical facility located on Kaunda Road, Arusha, Tanzania.

This initiative is part of CHB’s continued commitment to enhancing access to essential medical care, particularly for those facing financial difficulties. The donated oxygen concentrators will be managed by the team at Hayaat Emergency and Diagnostic Center and will be made available free of charge to patients in need, regardless of whether they are from the community or the general public.

Hayaat is a comprehensive facility equipped with a fully functional emergency unit, modern diagnostic laboratory, pharmacy, physiotherapy department, and an advanced cardiac lab that provides services such as stress ECG, echocardiography, and Holter ECG monitoring. These additions make the center a well-rounded and accessible emergency facilities in Arusha.

The handover of the equipment took place during a recent visit to the center, where representatives from CHB and AFED came together to witness and support this noble initiative.

This contribution reflects CHB’s broader vision of healing through service, aligned with values of accountability, improvement, compassion, and humanity. By supporting critical healthcare infrastructure where feasible, CHB continues to embody the spirit of community service and inter institutional collaboration.  As we celebrate this impactful collaboration, we are reminded of the divine reassurance found in the Holy Qur’an; “And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.” Qur’an 26:80

PARTICIPANTS’ FEEDBACK – Leadership Development Program

  • I found it deeply meaningful that everything in the program was grounded in Islamic principles and delivered in such a professional manner. I honestly felt like everyone, including the trainers, were part of a family.

  • Daily Qur’an reflections were highly valuable as well as gaining a deeper understanding of how I interact with others was also a key takeaway.

  • I became more aware of certain characteristics that I often took for granted and didn’t consciously reflect on – such as active listening, having authentic interactions, and understanding the difference between tolerance and respect.

  • Having the chance to practise the skills I learned in a safe environment and receive feedback was incredibly helpful.

  • I learned new things about myself that I hadn’t realized before, and I was introduced to new concepts – especially in understanding my own temperament.
