With the growing risk of malaria and dengue across the region, the Central Health Board (CHB) has taken swift action to help protect our community. We are pleased to announce a new partnership with LYF Medical Laboratories in Mombasa to provide essential diagnostic tests at a heavily subsidized rate.

·      Dengue Rapid Test

 

Special CHB Rate - Only KES 1,800 for all three tests (exclusively for community members)

Location - LYF Medical Laboratories; Mombasa, Kenya

Report No. 145 – DHULHIJJAH, 1446 AH – JUNE, 2025

 

BILAL TANGA CONDUCTS TERMINAL EXAMS


Earlier in the month of Dhulqaadah 1446 AH Bilal Tanga carried out Terminal exams as follows; 


A. HAWZA – All three Hawzas under Bilal Tanga i.e. Hawzat Qaim (atfs) & Hawzat Zahra (as) of Tanga District and Hawzat Imam Ali (as) of Pangani District, sat for their terminal examination for the academic year 2025. The examination began on Friday, 23rd of May, 2025, (i.e. 24th, Dhulqadah1446 AH) and finished on 29th of May 2025.

B. NURSERY -  Bilal  Tanga also  organized terminal examination for its Nursery schools. The exam started on 19th of May, 2025 (i.e. 20th of Dhulqadah, 1446 AH) and finished on 23rd of May, 2025 whereby a total of 302 students sat for the exams in all the six Nursery schools under Bilal Tanga.

EID-E-GHADEER CELEBRATIONS


Bilal Muslim Tanga Branch celebrated Eid-e-Ghadeer by conducting various activities across its centres.  Eid-e- Ghadeer activities were carried out in Eight Centres across Tanga Region namely; Tanga, Magumbani, Makaka, Pangani, Magaoni, Sakura, Kwemkole and Korogwe centres. Members from nearby centres were encouraged and facilitated to attend the Celebrations which gathered large number of Mo’mineen. 


Among the activities that were organised included knowledge competition for our Madrasah Students and football tournament both in Tanga and Pangani centres. 


GHADEER CUP – 2025:-  In Tanga centre, the football competition started on 29th of May, 2025 at LAMORE stadium, with 12 teams participating. On the opening day, the Head of Tabligh at BMM - Tanga, Sheikh Sajjad Hassan, had the opportunity to speak to the dignitaries and players about the event of Ghadeer.

In Pangani centre, the competition started on 5th of June, 2025 and finished on 14th of June 2025, it included teams from Pangani region. Prizes were awarded to the winners (First – Third) in both the centres i.e. Tanga and Pangani.

QUIZ ON THE EVENT OF GHADEER FOR MADRASAH STUDENTS: -  Bilal Tanga organised Quiz competition for its Madrasah students by publishing 50 questions on the Event of Ghadeer on 18th of Zilhajj 1446 A.H. (15th June 2025). The competition was held in Tanga, Mpirani, Magumbani, Makaka and Pangani centres respectively. The first three winners in each Centre were given prizes. 


After the Quiz competition, the celebrations continued with Lecture which was followed by Qasidas and Speeches on the Event of Ghadeer delivered by various Sheikhs in Tanga.
