The Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTAB), in collaboration with the Dar es Salaam Jamaat Marriage Committee, successfully hosted the "#MuslimMarriageGoals - A One-Day Workshop on Finding Your Perfect Islamic Partner" on July 7, 2024. The workshop, held at AFED Towers in Dar es Salaam, aimed to address growing concerns among our youth about marriage, and sought to provide guidance on the Islamic process of spouse selection.
The event was well-attended, with enthusiastic participation from more than 70 young adults, eager to explore the principles and practicalities of spouse selection within an Islamic framework. Divided into three focused sections, the workshop spanned from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm and featured insightful presentations and activities by Sheikh Ali Rajani.

The same workshop was also held in Arusha on Sunday the 18th of August, in collaboration with the Arusha Jamaat. A total of 30 participants benefited from the event, which was held at the Madrasah Hall, with lunch provided. A special mention goes out to Alhaj Aliasgher Kanani for the support provided.
Section Highlights:
What is marriage all about? Participants delved into the spiritual, emotional, and societal significance of marriage in Islam, reinforcing its central role in personal and communal development.
What qualities to look for in a spouse: The session emphasised the importance of seeking compatibility in faith, character, and life goals, guided by Islamic teachings and personal values.
How to practically go about selecting a spouse: Practical strategies and resources were shared to empower attendees in navigating the process of finding a suitable partner, including utilizing community networks and guidance from elders.
