Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Almighty Allah (SWT), we have crossed the most crucial part of the project, the foundation and the basement of the building has been completed after six months since the project started and recently on 17th December 2024, the ground floor slab was casted. We are now progressing and preparing for the First floor.

The project is progressing well and within the project timeline. Several challenges have been encountered and overcome, we wish to record our appreciation to Mr. Shiraz Visram and Mr. Khalil Sherali for their support to overcome the challenges, who really supported in coordinating with the neighbours.

During this stage of construction, the Chairman of Africa Federation Alhaj Amine Nassor and Alhaj Ahmed Daya visited the site and were impressed with the speed and quality of works.

Madina Residency Allocation Committee Update

Alhamdulillah, the interviews have almost been completed and the review of the applications is in process. The process and interviews took three months to complete. The Housing Board Chairman appreciates the work done and valuable time spent by the allocation committee members Shakera Kassim Dhanani, Zakiya Riyazali Khamisa, Arif Dhirani, Akil Somji, Shahid Murji, Zulfikar Alimohamed, Mohamed Moledina, Irfan Mahershah for working tirelessly including during holidays to ensure that the work goes on.

We were expecting to complete allocation and release the allocated names on the Wiladat of Bibi Fatema (‘A) on 21st December 2024, however due to the load of the work and procedures this has taken time and we shall do the allocations at the earliest.


The task being difficult with number of apartments available against the number of deserving applicants; however, the allocation committee has been determinedly working to allocate the apartment to most deserving applicant. The outcome of the allocation will be released as soon as possible keeping in mind to ensure complete fairness to all the applicants.

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania (BMMT) successfully convened a one-day meeting with its Zonal Tabligh Supervisors and Administrative Officers to reflect on the challenges and successes of the mission's objectives over the past year (2024) and to develop strategies for the upcoming year (2025).


The event took place on Monday, 23rd December 2024 at the Africa Federation (AFED) Training Facility within AFED Tower on Jamuhuri/Mwisho Street in Dar es Salaam.


The meeting was honored by the presence of Alhaj Dr. Asgarali Moledina Past President of World Federation and Past Chairman of the Central Bilal Board; and Alhaj Aunali Khalfan, AFED Vice Chairman, who was accompanied by AFED Hon Treasurer Alhaj Zainul Chandoo and Hon Assistant Treasurer Alhaj Muntazir Walji.


From BMMT, the meeting was attended by key members of the Board, led by Chairman Alhaj Hussein Karim and Vice Chairman Alhaj AbdulWahid Mohammed. Other BMMT representatives included Br. Hafidhi Mansour, Chief of Operations; Sheikh Msabaha Mapinda, Head of Tabligh; and Br. Hassan Ahmad, Administrative Officer.


The seminar brought together Tabligh Supervisors and Administrative Officers from various zones, including Coast & South, Central, North, Zanzibar, Mwanza (Lake), Bukoba (Kagera), Tanga, and Tabora. The attendees presented their annual reports, discussed the challenges they encountered, shared achievements, and passed several resolutions to enhance the mission’s effectiveness in the coming year.

During his speech, Alhaj Hussein Karim stressed the importance of the zonal supervisors recognizing their pivotal role as a crucial link between BMMT headquarters and the mu’mineen at the centres. He emphasized that self-motivation is key to achieving the mission's objectives and advancing its goals without waiting for external pressure.


Alhaj Aunali Khalfan also addressed the attendees, praising them for their hard work and dedication to the mission. On behalf of AFED, he assured BMMT of continued cooperation and support in achieving its objectives for the upcoming years.


BMMT extends its sincere gratitude to AFED for hosting the meeting and providing excellent services to all attendees. A token of appreciation was extended to all participants and volunteers whose tireless efforts ensured the success of this important gathering.
