The Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTAB) Organizes 'CPD' Program in Dar es Salaam

The Tabligh Board of Africa Federation (AFTab) in collaboration with the Islamic Education Board of the World Federation organized a Continuous Personal Development (CPD) program on 'Family Ethics' in Dar es Salaam, which was held on 31st December 2011 and 1st January 2012. The program was hosted by the KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam, under their Tabligh Board.

A total of 17 participants representing the various Sections and Sub-Committees of KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam, included Husayni Madrasah, Madrasah al Zahra, Marriage Support Group, Marriage Reconciliation Board, and Youth Affairs and three participants from AFTab took part in the program.

The program was facilitated by Sheikh Mohamedali Ismail from UK.

The primary aim of this program was to examine the moral & spiritual principles that govern relationships between family members.

Some of the points discussed during the program included the definition of Islamic Family Ethics, and drafting of a Family Mission Statement. They also focused into the status of human beings as portrayed in the Holy Qur'an, and critically analyzed the criteria for determining whether or not someone is truly a member of a Muslim family, and all this was done by manifesting the divine attributes of Allah (SWT).

The sessions were enlightening, interactive and very effective as the participants were diverse in terms of age, experience & backgrounds.

In his speech during the closing ceremony, the Tabligh Chairman Alhaj Shakil Dharamsi urged the participants to share the knowledge derived from this program with their respective committees and the community at large, in order to increase the understanding and effectiveness of such programs.

The Africa Federations Secretariat and the AFTAB wishes to extend their profound appreciation to Sheikh Mohammedali, the World Federation and the Islamic Education Board of the World Federation, KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam, The Tabligh Board of KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam and to all those who helped in one way or the other to bring this program to fruition and to its success.

AFTAB will continue in its efforts to organize more such programs for our Jamaats in Africa, including the Jamaats under the Regional Council of Madagascar.
