JOB OPPORTUNITIES WITH BILAL MUSLIM MISSION OF TANZANIA

Positions: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Accountant

We have received a request from BMMT to issue a Circular as follows:

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania (BMMT) is in the process of restructuring its Head Office in Dar es Salaam with the aim of increasing efficiency and productivity to meet the overall Aims and Objectives of the Mission.

To accomplish this, the Mission is looking for suitably qualified candidates to take up the newly established post of CEO and also to fill in a vacancy of Accountant; both these positions are at BMMT Head Office in Dar es Salaam.

A brief profile and structure of BMMT and Job Profiles of CEO and Accountant are provided herewith as attachments.

At the 73rd Supreme Council Session held in Arusha in April 2012, the AFED Secretariat presented a Resolution to introduce a Marriage Contract Form for implementation by all Jamaats.

Following the deliberation and upon recommendation by Councillors to allow more time for inputs from the Jamaats in respect of the Marriage Contract Form, it was agreed that an Ad-Hoc Committee be formed to propose a final version of the Marriage Contract Form to be presented at the AFED Conference in April 2013 for further deliberation and adoption.

We are pleased to inform you of the appointment made by the Chairman, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi of the following Ad-Hoc Committee Members to carry out the above assignment:

Chairman:            Mohamed bhai Dhirani                  
Vice Chairman:   Ahmed bhai Jaffer                            
Members:             Sheikh Murtadha Alidina  -   Dar-es-Salaam (for religious matters)

The main assignment of the Committee shall be as under:

1.      To seek opinions from the Jamaats under AFED on the Marriage Contract Form.

2.      To look into the religious and legal aspects of the Marriage Contract Form.

3.      To prepare a final version of the Marriage Contract Form.

4.      To submit a final version of the Marriage Contract Form to the AFED Secretariat by 30th November 2012.

The attached information and appeal was sent out to our community members by the World Federation in the Newswire of 25th July 2012 (5th Ramadhan, 1433 A.H.)

The widespread of violence, destruction and killings of innocent souls in several parts of Syria is shocking and saddening.

The crisis is spreading in several parts of Syria including the main city of Damascus (Sham) and the surrounding areas of Site-Zainab (sa).

We request all our Jamaats to arrange for special prayers and supplications in this holy month of Ramadhan for peace and the safety and security of the people of Syria and the people in other Muslim countries who are also undergoing a difficult period due to hostility, oppression and human rights abuses.

The World Federation is carrying out humanitarian work of delivering food and other aid to families affected by current crisis in Syria, we request all our Jamaats to support the World Federation initiatives and raise funds for this Programme.

Let us all together raise our hands in prayers and supplications to Allah (swt) in this blessed month with the Wasilah of our Aeema-e-Tahireen (as) that peace and harmony prevails in all parts of the World.

CHANGE OF TIMINGS OF THE AFED SUPREME COUNCIL OFFICE DURING THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADHAN

We wish to inform our Jamaats and community members that the office timings of the Secretariat in Dar es Salaam for the Holy Month of Ramadhan will be as follows:

Monday to Friday:  From: 08.30 AM to 04.00 PM

Saturdays:               From: 08.30 AM to 12.30 PM

We shall revert to the normal office working hours after the Holy Month of Ramadhan which is under:

Monday to Friday:   From: 08.30 AM to 01.00 PM
                                  From: 02.00 PM to 05.00 PM
 
Saturdays                From: 08.30 AM to 12.30 PM
