CV Writing Workshop

“If you call failures experiments, you can put them in your resume and claim them as achievements.” (
Mason Cooley)

cv2In today's economy with so many people unemployed and under employed, competition to get a good job is fierce. Your CV is like a personal advertisement for you. The quality of your CV/Resume will make the difference between getting a chance at an interview or not. It’s important to note that when writing a good CV/Resume it is important to include all the right information so the hiring manager can see, at first glance, why you are a strong candidate for the job.

  • CV components and structure
  • The Achievement based CV
  • Practical writing session and coaching

The event was open to both genders regardless of age and was held at the Hall at Urban Rose Hotel situated at Hazrat Abbas Street, Dar es Salaam and started at 9:30 am to 1 pm. The event was facilitated by CBG Members, Mumtaz Ladak and Sameer Kermalli who are both renowned for facilitating the Master Classes for the Leadership Development Program. Total of 20 participants attended and offered feedback including suggestions and comments.

The CBG aims to facilitate more events of this nature in future and would recommend community members to take maximum advantages of such kind of educational events and programs.

For Trainings with CBG, please contact The AFED CBG Coordinators for details and process of setting up a learning session with CBG under the Jamaat who will assist in all aspects of coordination, planning, and implementation of Capacity Development Program in the local region that they have been appointed in.
