Health Action Days :
Mother and child camp I was held on 29th September, 2002 at our two mosques in rural centres of Kwale District and Bangladesh slums of Mombasa district. These are areas where more than 70% people live below poverty line. Activities included :

Immunisation.,Vitamin A supplementation.
·
Growth monitoring and giving food supplements to underweight
children.
· Mass de-worming for intestinal parasites and treatment of common
endemic diseases such as bilharzia, malaria and respiratory infections.
· Giving ante-natal care to pregnant mothers (this includes giving iron
tablets, folic acid, anti-malaria prophylaxis
· Chlorinating water wells.
· Controlloing Malaria :Providing mosquito nets treated with
insecticide, spraying houses and drainages, stagnant water.
· Giving health education talks.
