Shabaan 15, 1426:  Kushiali Mubarak to all on this auspicious occasion of the birth of our beloved Imam - Imam Al-Mahdi (as). In celebration of this very special day, Seniors Advisory Board (SAB) is pleased to announce the Al-Qa'im Sponsor Our Seniors (SOS) Program. This new initiative is developed in response to the silent cries of our senior citizens who are living in grave conditions in developing countries and cannot afford the basic necessities of life.  

The Al-Qa'im SOS Program is a sponsorship program which provides financial aid both:  monthly as well as one-time emergency assistance to senior citizens who are living in impoverished circumstances. Currently, SAB is sponsoring 47 seniors in Bihar, India alone and more seniors in Africa and Pakistan are waiting to be sponsored. 

For only £10 (GBP) / $15 (USD) / $20 (CDN) per month (50¢ a day), you can give a senior citizen the gift of dignity and peace of mind to afford some basic living essentials including balanced and healthy meals, decent clothes, safe and secure living environments and access to medical care. This is the Dua of Imam Al-Mahdi (as).

The Al-Qa'im Sponsor Our Seniors Program is cautious in ensuring that all sponsorship funds are used appropriately in accordance with the Islamic Sharia and managed in a responsible and accountable way. In addition, it is critical that the senior citizens who depend on these funds receive them on time and systematically. When you sponsor a senior, the majority of your gift will be sent to the sponsored senior. The remainder will be deposited into the Al-Qa'im Sponsor Our Seniors Fund. This fund will support any administration costs (minimal) of operating the program and any emergency related expenses that may come up - such as supporting a senior when the sponsor is no longer able to sustain his/her donation and before finding a new benefactor or when a senior unexpectedly needs major medical treatment. This fund also allows us to adjust the support payments to the seniors to meet increases in expenses without having to come to you each time.
