The Opening Ceremony of a new Bilal Centre at Tanga was performed on the 13th of Rajab 1428, Wiladat day of Amirul Moamineen, Imam Ali A.S. 28th of July 2007 at 6.00 p.m.

 

The Mosque was opened by Hujjatul Islam Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir and Husainia by Vice-chairman of Africa Federation Alhaj Zulfikar Dewji.

 

Present on the occasion were His Excellency the Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Abass Vaezi, Vice Chairman of Africa Federation Alhaj Zulfikar Dewji, Alhaj Pyarali M. Shivji, Chairman of Central Bilal Board, Syed Razahusein Razavi, Pesh Imam Tanga Jamat Seyid Arifali Naqvi, Mudir of the Hawza, Haji Fidahusein Hameer, Founder Member, Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania, Haji Saheb Mohamed Husein Rajani, Founder of Wipahs, Kibaha, and many other Ulama from different Centres based in Tanga, Dar es Salaam and Arusha.

 

Speaking on the occasion Alhaj Hasanain Hassanali Chairman Bilal, Tanga Chapter, welcomed the respected guests and called it an historical occasion in the chapter of Bilal, Tanga.

 

‘Bilal Muslim Mission,’ he said, ‘was started by Marhum Allamah Seyid Saeed Akhter Rizvi in 1968, May Allah place him among His Chosen ones.’

 

Bilal in Tanga he said “was started 14 years ago by establishment of a Library by Mzee Jaffer Dalal and Alhaj Nowshad Hassanali in a rented place and today Bilal in Tanga Region, has four branches. Pangani, Duga Maforoni, Mkumbara and today we are assembled here to open the fourth Centre, by the grace of Allah s.w.t.

 

“I wish to thank members of my committee and all teachers for their co-operation and support.” “Today we have 10 teachers and about 200 students in all our centres.”

 

“By the grace of Allah s.w.t.,” he concluded, “we intend to start Howza, similar to the ones in Qum and this will save our youth to travel overseas. If Allah wishes we shall soon start the howza.”

 

Alhaj Zulfikarali Dewji, Vice-Chairman of Africa Federation informed the gathering that ‘last year when we toured Tanga, the facility was being constructed and we were encouraged by the plan that was set out to be put in place and today we have come here to see the complete facility, which is very nicely laid out and caters for the entire scope of the requirement.”

 

“Alhamdulillah with the grace Almighty we will succeed in turning the chapter and raise it to the heights that have yet to be reached” He said

 

“As per the understanding” he we went on” this facility is going to be Howza to teach the mazhab of Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) for the students to graduate and then be able to carry out the work of spreading the mazhab to the rest of the region.

 

“It is with this background that I would like to present here the desire which we at Africa Federation would like to see happen.”

 

He continued ‘I am confident that the management of this facility will harmonize with me when I present our hope the facility seeks to produce Muballigheen of quality so that the graduates from this institute can carry the message of Ahlul Bayt throughout the region.

 

It is becoming increasingly important we can train our muballigheen to be prepared to be able to discuss our faith and present our stance and convince everyone that indeed our faith is true and chosen one.

 

He said “I will be failing in my duty if I did not recognize the efforts of Hassanali Family who have been the architects of establishing and running the Tanga Branch Bilal.

 

In conclusion he said “I wish to reiterate the commitment of Africa Federation towards supporting the Bilal activities within the region with a clear focus on ensuring that we take the direction of delivering quality as opposed to establishing numbers.”

 

Alhaj Pyarali M. Shivji, Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania thanked Almighty Allah that we have been able to meet in this noble ceremony of the Opening Bilal Complex at Tanga.

 

Let us pray to Allah s.w.t. to place Allamah Seyid Saeed Akhter Rizvi A.M. the founding father of the mission in  Jawarehe Maasumeen a.s. Ameen

 

“Tabligh is very difficult, it needs a lot of patience, he said.

 

He thanked the donors who contributed in one way or other, to see that this project comes to fruition.

 

“The achievement” he said “is due to all the efforts of our Chairman in Tanga and his committee members, which is commendable and praiseworthy.”

 

In the end the gathering was served with dinner.
