Eye Camp at Hoyoyo Village

Mkuranga District on 9/11/08

Free eye camp was established in Hoyoyo village Mkuranga Dist on 9th Nov 08 wherein 375 people were screened for minor eye ailments from which the following cases were detected:

13 Matured cataracts

26 Immature cataracts

39 Presbyopia

13 Allergic conjunctivitis

3 Corneal Opacity

2 Glaucoma

6 Myopia

7 Maculopathy

4 Corneal scar

3 Pterygium

1 Trachoma

4 Hyperopia

217 Pairs of spectacles and 96 units of eye drops & ointment were delivered free of charge as prescribed.

Dr Dilawer Padhani conducted 12 surgeries at the same time at Mkuranga District Hospital.
