With His Grace and Blessings, the Arusha branch was once again at the service of residence of Kondoa, Dodoma Region, over the Easter holidays (21^st March – 24^th March 2008). 2 ophthalmic surgeons, 3 ophthalmic nurses and 7 volunteers made their way through some rainy patches and the results were more than expected.  From a total of 250 patients from various villages around Kondoa who were screened, 173 were operated upon, and a further 5 patients were assisted with the second eye too. Of the 178 operations in three days, 90 were sponsored by Lady Fatema (A.S) Charitable Trust. Further assistance was given by well wishers, who contributed towards the transport and accommodation of the group.
