The provision of milk porridge to all the Madrasah students at BMMK centres was initiated in July 2008 under the sponsorship of Imam Sahibu Zaman Trust (U.K). The trust has committed to provide a monthly grant of Sterling pounds (£ 250) for a period of two years starting from July 2008.
The allocation of the fund to the madrasah is done on rota system. Students are provided with porridge cooked from flour of bulrush millet, milk and sugar on Saturdays and Sundays. The community ladies volunteer to cook the porridge. |
