On Saturday 10th March, 2007 / 20th Safar 1428 A.H., 377 students (214 male and 163 female) drawn from 22 different schools converged at the Samburu Secondary School ground to attend a full day seminar. Samburu is located 62 km west of Mombasa on the highway towards Nairobi. This was the tenth successive Annual Husayn Day held in the form of a seminar. |

This was followed by a lively Question /Answer session wherein participants, both male and female, took the opportunity to raise several interesting questions appertaining to the historical event, the need of recalling the event every year, the effects of the Tragedy on the society, leadership after demise of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w), variances in practices between different schools of thought in Islam etc. |

All these were responded to the satisfaction of the questioners. The following literature especially published for the occasion was presented to the Participants in form of a booklet.
It is reckoned that this format of Husayn Day is an effective important part of Azadari of Imam Husayn (a.s.) whereby youths of different localities and diverse backgrounds actively participate in discussing the mission of Imam Husayn (a.s.). |

Sincere thanks and prayers are for those who have worked tirelessly in making necessary arrangements and to those who have made generous contributions to ensure success of the seminar. May Allah SWT grant them all Ajr-e-Azeem in this world and hereafter – Amin.
