The Secretariat is pleased to announce that Br. Hasnain Pyarali Moti of Dar-es-Salaam has been adjudged Sportsman for the Year 2005 and was awarded the Abul Fazl Trophy at the 64^th Supreme Council Session held in Arusha. 

Hasnain aged 27 years is a member of the Union Sports Club and plays football, volleyball, cricket, squash, table-tennis and darts.  He was declared Man of the Festival at the USC Sports Bonaza 2005. 

Amongst the various awards he has achieved include Man of the Festival at the USC Sports Bonaza 2005, Upcoming player in Cricket in 1996, Best player in Volleyball in 1996 at the Tournament held in Mtendeni School and Top scorer during the open tournament organized by USC in 2003. 

He has represented his Jamaat at the 6^th to 10^th Africa Federation Sports Festivals.    

Hasnain is a Member of IUVC and also a member of a group which carries out food distribution.  He also helps in the Mayyat Committee. 

The Chairman of the Africa Federation Alhaj Ramzan Nanji and his office bearers and the Chairman of the Sports Council Alhaj Amir Somji and the Executive Committee wish to record their congratulations to Br. Hasnain Moti and Dar-es-Salaam Jamaat. 

 The other nomination received was of: Br. Mohamedali Karim from Mwanza.
