INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHI RAJIUN
THE FEDERATION MOURNS THE DEATH OF DEATH OF AN ALIM IS THE DEATH OF THE WORLD
A fountain of education and inspiration amongst Hawza circles, Ayatollah Tabrizi (ra) had been suffering from cancer for the later part of his life.
Ayatullah Tabrizi (ra) was born in 1926 in Tabriz. After finishing secular school at the age of eighteen, he entered a theological school in his hometown. Within four years he completed the preliminary and intermediate levels of his studies. In 1948, he migrated to Qum and finished other subjects and finally reached Dars e Kharij, attending the lectures of the late Ayatollah Hujjat (ra), and Ayatollah Boroujerdi (ra).
Ayatullah Tabrizi (ra) then migrated to Najaf and benefited from eminent scholars such as the late Ayatollah Sayyid Abul Hadi Shirazi (ra) and the late Ayatollah al-Khou'i (ra) and eventually reached Ijtihad. Ayatullah Tabrizi (ra) was invited by Ayatullah al-Khou'i (ra) to join the Assembly of Consultants, an organized group of scholars that responds to people's questions.
Ayatullah Tabrizi (ra) stayed in Najaf for about twenty-three years, leaving only in the holidays to do propagation in different countries. He later returned to Iran and began teaching Fiqh (jurisprudence) and Usool (principles) in the Islamic seminary of Qum.
The Africa Federation extends its heartfelt condolences to our 12th Imam (.A.F), our Marja-e-Taqleed and all Ulamas, the family of the Marhum and the Shia Community at large on this bereavement.
We pray to Allah (s.w.t.) to grant Marhum maghferat and place his soul in the proximity of Chaharda Masumeen (a.s.), grant his family solace to sustain this loss and for the safety and long life of our Ulemas.
Jamaats are requested to Quran Khani and majlis for the maghferat of the Marhum.
