23RD TRIENNIAL CONFERENCE
CALENDAR OF EVENTS

 

The Diary of Events for the 23rd Triennial Conference to be held from Friday 6th April 2007 (17th Rabi-ul-Awwal 1428) is as follows: 

 

6TH DECEMBER 2006

= 4 MONTHS BEFORE THE CONFERENCE

The Hon Secretary will issue a notice to all Constituent Jamaats to nominate in writing within 45 days a candidate for the post of Chairman for the ensuing term of three years. (Article 13)

20TH  JANUARY 2007

= 45 DAYS AFTER THE ABOVE NOTICE

Last date for submission of nominations for the post of the Chairman.  The Hon Secretary shall declare the name of the nominee if only one name has been nominated. (Article 13)

21ST JANUARY 2007

= 75 DAYS BEFORE THE CONFERENCE

Hon Secretary will give the notice of the date, place and agenda of the Conference (Article 7).

27TH JANUARY 2007

= 7 DAYS AFTER ABOVE

The Hon Secretary shall circulate names of all such nominations to all Constituent Jamaats, in case more than one candidate has been nominated for the post of the Chairman.

20TH FEBRUARY 2007

= 45 DAYS BEFORE THE CONFERENCE

 
  1. Last date for Jamaats to submit Election results for the Chairman of Africa Federation, in case of more than one candidate has being nominated.
  2. Resolutions and/or amendments to the Constitution to be tabled at the Conference to reach the Secretariat by this date (Article 9 and 19b).
  3. Hon Secretary will give the Notice for the Supreme Council Meeting (Article 24c).
  4. Resolutions to be tabled at the Supreme Council Meeting to reach the Secretariat by this date {Article 24 (d)}

27TH FEBRUARY 2007

= 7 DAYS NOTICE FOR ABOVE (ii)

The Secretariat shall give notice to all Constituent Jamaats of all resolutions received for the Conference. (Article 9).

28th FEBRUARY 2007

= REPORTS BY JAMAATS AND BOARDS

The Secretariat to receive the following by this date:

  1. Annual reports, accounts and budget from all Boards
  2. Annual reports from all constituent Jamaats

6TH MARCH 2007

= 30 DAYS BEFORE THE CONFERENCE AND SUPREME COUNCIL SESSION

 
  1. The Secretariat shall give notice of all resolutions received for the Supreme Council Meeting (Article 24d).
  2. Constituent Jamaats to submit the names of the Councillors elected by their Jamaats (As per Article 21 c i of the Africa Federation Constitution.)
  3. Constituent Jamaats to submit names of their delegates to the Conference elected at their general meetings according to their entitlement.  (As per Article 6 of the Africa Federation Constitution).

 

Jamaats are requested to provide full contacts of their Delegates and Councillors
