ESTABLISHMENT OF A PERMANENT OFFICE OF THE CENTRAL HEALTH BOARD (CHB)
IN DAR ES SALAAM AND APPOINTMENT OF HEALTH ADMINISTRATOR

 

One of the objectives of CHB for this term is to establish an office and appoint a Health Administrator; in pursuant to this, we are pleased to inform the Jamaats and members of the community of the establishment of a permanent administrative office of the Central Health Board (CHB) in Dar es Salaam. The Office is located within the Africa Federation Secretariat in Dar es Salaam, on Olympio Street off Bibi Titi Mohamed Street.

We are also pleased to inform the Jamaats and members of the community the appointment of Mr. Shabbir Lalji to the post of Health Administrator who will be working full time under CHB to manage the administration, projects and activities of CHB. Below is a brief bio data of Mr. Lalji:-

 

Born in Moshi, Tanzania, he acquired his primary education in Mombasa, and completed high school education in Moshi, upon moving to Dar es Salaam, he joined Al-Muntazir Islamic Seminary and completed his A-Levels. He then proceeded to the United States of America to pursue further education in a specialized health field, and successfully completed his undergraduate degree, in Health Services Administration (HSA) in February 2007, at Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida, USA.

 

 

Mr. Lalji earned good experience while working for different firms in Florida, USA, holding various Administrative and Management positions, such as sales, marketing, and customer services during his vacations and internship.  He also dedicated some time towards humanitarian projects and other voluntary services within local communities through non-profit organizations, such as nursing home and hospital visits, as well as hurricane relief projects.

 

CHB will be communicating with all the Jamaats in the near future to explain Mr. Lalji’s role, and to implement CHB objectives in promoting better health and health awareness in our community, also to maintain effective communications with all the Jamaats under Africa Federation.

 

We wish Mr. Shabbir Lalji every success in his new role as Health Administrator.
