All indications are that the strain of H1N1 currently circulating worldwide is no more dangerous than a common flu. |
| In countries with a large number of cases, testing and treatment is now only conducted among groups at highest risk of complications such as those who already have serious health conditions. There are many reasons for flu symptoms in sub-Saharan Africa, some more serious than H1N1, and parents should be caution in deciding whether to seek medical advice for fevers or other flu symptoms. |
