In the previous CHB News Flash, we were pleased to announce the arrival of renowned orthopedist, Dr. D. D. Tanna in July 2008. These visits will definitely yield great benefits to the consulting patients and our community in general.
While Dr. Tanna’s visit is a momentous one in the history of CHB, the Board also wishes to announce the services of Dr. Dimpy Irani-a lady gynecologist who will also be holding a two-day Gynecological Camp in Dar-es-Salaam, at Ebrahim Haji Ithna-Asheri Charitable Health Centre (EHICH). Both camps will be held concurrently in July 2008.
Dr. Irani hails from Mumbai, India. She is a recognized Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She is also specialized in Infertility treatment, as well as an experienced endoscopist. In addition, she was also trained in France for advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Women of certain ages are diagnosed with a number of gynecological problems. To make matters worse, gynecologists-especially female-are not easy to locate, prompting many ladies to overlook their annual health check-up. Hence lack of early detection of gynecological problems may result into serious complications, such as menstrual problems, infertility, and cancer of the cervix & ovaries.
Dr. Irani’s visit highlights a welcoming change for majority of our ladies and will surely benefit them. An awareness lecture targeting ladies will also be conducted by the specialist. Details will be announced shortly.
