A program was organized on 5^th August 2006 after Maghribain prayers at Imambarghah in Dar Es Salaam for “A presentation by Good Care Health Services” which was followed by a question and answer session. The Central Health Board (CHB) of the Federation of the K. S. I. Jamaats of Africa has recently concluded an arrangement with the above mentioned service providing company. The company is owned and operated by two gentlemen who are from our community in Mumbai and provides various services to patients from different countries who travel to India for health check-up and medical treatment etc. The organization is 5 years old in this field.

The arrangement covers wide range of services from initial scrutiny of medical reports by their appointed Physicians before the arrival of patients, to airport pickup, hotel and musafirkhana bookings, appointments with specialists, accompanying the patients to diagnostic centres, specialists, hospitals etc. 

For a very long time now, our community members, especially from East Africa and Madagascar have asked the CHB to find an organization from our community in India who can provide reasonable and reliable services to our patients like accommodation, transportation, food and also guide them properly for medical services. 

With the increase in the number of patients going to India in the recent years, the need for a reliable organization with good communication for services has been keenly felt.  

The following charges have been agreed upon between CHB and Good Care Health Services:- 

1. Patient stay in Mumbai from 1 to 3 days = US$50
2. Patient stay in Mumbai from 1 to 7 days = US$100
3. Welfare patients stay in Mumbai from 1 to 7 days = US$50

Additional days stay where one continues to require the services of Good Care Health Services, US$10 per day will be charged.

Spouse or a child accompanying the patient and he or she require medical check-up etc. in such cases there will be no additional charge by Good Care Health Services.  

CHB have entered into agreements with several hospitals and medical centres in India where it is offered concessionary rates and discounts for its patients. Therefore it is advisable for patients to go through CHB in order to benefit from these arrangements, it also helps CHB to monitor progress of the treatment of patients as well as keep a tab on the ranges of costs, etc.
