The Supreme Council named this hall after his late brother as Ebrahim Haji assembly hall.
EBRAHIMBHAI HAJI
The younger brother of Jumabhai Haji, Ebrahimbhai was also born in 1892 in Lalpur and after pursuing the basic education there he came to Dar-es-salaam in 1910 and joined in one of the branches of his elder brother’s business. Ebrahimbhai sincerely helped his brother in establishing the business branches in Congo; one would hardly agree to do so due the destabilized situation over there.
It was through the hard work and efforts of Ebrahimbhai that they succeeded. Later several families were established there.
He has also contributed towards the establishment of Federation. Ebrahimbhai served as Dar-es-salaam jamat president from 1942 to 1946 and before that he was the secretary of the jamat.
Furthermore he was elected as the vice president of Dar-es-salaam Merchant Chamber of Commerce
