The Khoja Shia Isna Asheri Jamaat of Kinshasa, Congo held a Tribute in memory of Shaheed Prof Sibte Jaffer who was shot in Pakistan on March 18, 2013.  The targeted attacks against minority Shias have become a routine and tragic affair in Pakistan for the last 15-20 years. Sadly, the frequency has increased and operations have become more organized in the last 3-4 years, be it in the tribal belt of Hangu, the Western valley of Quetta or the Southern Port city of Karachi.

Ustaad Sibte Jaffar, as he was popularly known among poet lovers as well as among the thousands of students world-wide, was the Principal of a Government College in Karachi.  On his way back home from College riding his old 70cc motorbike, he was shot at a close range by the waiting terrorists; Ustaad was 55 years of age. He left behind a widow and 3 children.
