Further to our Circular JMT/212/13 of 21st February 2013, the Organizing Committee of Tuwasiliane Football and Volleyball Festival being held in Tanga, Tanzania over Easter Holidays (From: 29th March to 1st April 2013), have extended the deadline for registration to Friday 8th March 2013 to enable more teams to participate, no registration shall be accepted after this date.

The Dar es Salaam Jamaat Tableegh Board in collaboration with Tanzania Ithna Asheri Community (T.I.C.) hosted a well-attended Milad-un-Nabi program at the Diamond Jubilee hall in Dar es Salaam on Sunday the 17th February 2013.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) founder of the religion of Islam was born in the year 570 CE (fifty-three years before the Hijrah) in the town of Makkah, a mountain town in the high desert plateau of western Arabia (presently known as Saudi Arabia). His name derives from the Arabic verb Hamada, meaning "to praise, to glorify." He was the first and only son of Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abd Al-Muttalib and Hazrat Aminah bint Wahab.

Further to our Circular JMT/207/13 of 29th January 2013, we are pleased to provide further information on the Tuwasiliane Football and Volleyball Festival to be held in Tanga, Tanzania over Easter Holidays (From: 29th March to 1st April 2013)

The Organizers have co-opted three members from Dar-es-Salaam in their Committee, here below is the full team of the Organizing Committee and their contact details:-



1. The fee for each participant and official respectively will be US$ 100 to be paid during the registration and the deadline for registration is Thursday, 28th February 2013.

2. Participation in this Festival is open to players from our community from Member Jamaats under AFED.

3. The Organizers shall only allow two players in each team from outside our community to participate in the games. Team Managers should contact the Organizers on above contact addresses for guidance beforehand to avoid any disruption to the games.

The Free Eye Camp was conducted in Tanga regions, fully sponsored by NAHACO/TPPL of Tanga. The organizers took advantage of the long Maulid weekend to carry out the Eye Camp from 25th to 27th January 2013.

Initial screening were carried out at Zingibari Secondary School in Duga, those identified for cataract surgery were referred to Bombo Hospital in Tanga. The next day the camp moved to Manza Primary School in Mkinga and on the last day at our KSI Jamaat Imambargha in Tanga.

Above - honouring the eye camp Coordinator, Alhaj Anver Merali Alibhai

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania organized an eye camp, sponsored by Tanzania Road Haulage (1980) Ltd., at Ruangwa, Lindi Region, more than 500 km from Dar es Salaam.  This was the longest camp, in terms of days, in the history of Bilal Muslim Mission Tanzania Free Eye Camp, from 22nd – 26th December, 2012.
