The AFED Secretariat is pleased to inform all our Jamaats in Africa and the Regional Council of Madagascar that the 4th AFED & WF Leadership Development Program (LDP) will be held in Arusha, Tanzania from Thursday, 13th to Sunday, 16th October 2011.

There are only 25 seats available for this leadership training programme. The Jamaats and the Regional Council of Madagascar are requested to publicize this programme and encouraged to nominate participants from both genders, at earliest possible.

On Tuesday, 13th September 2011, the Chairman of The Africa Federation accompanied by the Hon. Secretary, Alhaj Aunali Khalfan, AFED Nominated Councillor, Alhaj Mohamed Nathoo and the Resident Aalim of Dar es Salaam Jamaat, Sheikh Murtadha Alidina visited Zanzibar to convey condolences on behalf of the Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslim communities in Africa and the rest of the world to the President of Zanzibar, H.E. Dr. Ali Mohammed Shein.

Arusha: 

The Missions branches in Arusha have taken up food distributions to Muslims in the vicinity of the township. Masjid Jamiu ul Khair was addressed and the Muslims in the neighbourhood for the relief programme. An elderly lady had no words to express her appreciation. The packages consisting of basic food items cost up to Tshs.42000/= suffices a family of 4.

FREE EYE CAMP IN MTWARA

bmm_mtwara_1On   Saturday, 7th July, 2011, team comprising of opticians and volunteers under the Bilal Mission of Tanzania all geared for a noble mission, boarded the TRH bus at 7.00 AM bracing for yet another challenging, bumpy, sunny and dusty journey of 565 kms to Mtwara in Southern Region of Tanzania. The mission was to offer free eye camp services to the residents of Mtwara. The team arrived safely at 6.30 p.m. in Mtwara.
