Over a month ago, The INSTITUT ISLAMIQUE DE MADAGASCAR and The CONSEIL RÉGIONAL DES KHOJAS SHIA ITHNA - ASHERI JAMATES DE L'OCÉAN INDIEN sent out invitations to the community leaders, heads of institutions, organizations and community members world-wide to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of Rasul al Akr'am Building – THE INSTITUT ISLAMIQUE DE MADAGASCAR (INISMA CENTRE) which will take place in Antananarivo, Madagascar on Sunday, 12th February, 2012 (19th Rabi'ul Awwal 1433 AH).

The Guest of Honor of the Grand Opening will be Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen, Sayed Jawad Sharestani, who is the Representative of Marja-e-Taqleed, Ayatullah al Uzmah Sayed Ali Hussaini al Sistani, may Allah (swt) prolong his life and grant him good health and protection all the time.

inisma_2The occasion is an historical one which will go into the annals of INISMA, and especially during this time of paying our tributes to Marhum Alhaj Goulam Abbas Mamod Jamil, popularly was known as Alhaj Roshan Jamil who passed away suddenly in Antananarivo on 20th February, 2011 (16th Rabi'ul Awwal 1432 AH) – One year ago. May Allah (swt) grant Marhum maghferat and place his soul amongst the fourteen infallibles (Masumeen – AS).

Notice is hereby given that the 73rd Session of the Supreme Council of the Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaats of Africa will Insha'allah be held from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th April 2012 in Arusha, Tanzania.

We request the constituent Jamaats Presidents/Chairmen and the Councillors to take note of the above, reserve these days and make determined efforts to attend the Supreme Council 73rd Session.

The Secretariat is grateful to the President, the Managing Committee and members of the KSI Jamaat of Arusha for hosting the 73rd Session of the Supreme Council.

Details of the Organizing Committee, venue, accommodation arrangements and other relevant information will be circulated in due course.

Along with this Circular, we are sending out the Calendar of Administrative Processes for necessary action by all concerned.

The Economic Empowerment Committee held its 2nd Careers Workshop on the 15th of January from 9.30am to 3.30pm at the Tabligh Auditorium. The workshop was aimed at students between the ages of 14 and 20. The day long workshop featured 14 professional from different fields and 2 career counsellors.

The workshop began with a welcome address by Sis Zainab Alidina, a member of the Economic Empowerment Committee. This was followed by an icebreaker game which got all the students to get to know each other better and to interact with the professionals. After a quick summary on the how the workshop was going to be structured, each of the professionals got the chance to introduce themselves and their profession to the participants.

 A one day workshop catering for the professional development needs of the Madrasah fraternity was organised by the Islamic Education of the WF in collaboration with by AFED Tabligh Board (AFTab), facilitated by Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Zakaria from the UK.  The workshops were held in Arusha, Dar-es-Salaam, Mombasa and Nairobi.
