STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2002

Twenty Three nominations for Best Student (Male/Female) were received from respective Jamaats and after close scrutiny on the set criteria of selection, the Best Student Awards were declared as follows:

ALIJAWAD M. HASHAM OF DAR-ES-SALAAM
AND
TANVEER-E-FATEMA M. PANJU OF MOMBASA

The Runners up were as follows:

 1^st Runner up (Boy) - Hassanali Kassam of Mombasa
1^st Runner up (Girl) - Adila Moloo of Nairobi

On behalf of the Chairman of Africa Federation, Alhaj Zulfikar Khimji and his office bearers and on behalf
of the Chairman of Education Board Alhaj Iqbal Sunderji and his Board members we take this opportunity to congratulate all the participants and special felicitations go to the winners and their parents for their outstanding achievement.   May Allah (s.w.t.) grant them every success in their future endeavours, Amen.

The point system for selection was as follows:

Academic Performance:            50 Points  
Madressa/Religious:                  20 Points
Extra Curricular Activity:           20 Points                      
Sporting Activity:                      10 Points
