STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
WORLD FEDERATION AND AFRICA FEDERATION

The World Federation Careers Education and Training Board (WF-CETAB) in conjunction with Africa Federation Education Board (AF-EBS) wishes to arrange “A once – in –a- lifetime opportunity” for young graduates from the West to visit East Africa sometimes in March and April 2003 to meet youths in Nairobi, Mombasa, Arusha, Dar-es-Salaam and Tanga to talk about their experiences in University, their career choice and life in the West. 

The Chairman of WF-CETAB Alhaj Murtaza Datoo hopes that the visit will allow the youths to visit our Community schools, participate in group discussions and meet with appropriate business groups and experience the sights and culture of the towns and countries they will visit.  As such WF-CETAB has sent an invitation to 33 young graduates and are now awaiting responses.

In the meantime by this Circular, the Secretariat extends its invitation to Arusha, Dar-es-Salaam, Mombasa, Nairobi and Tanga Jamaats and requests for their acceptance so that a provisional itinerary can be prepared.  The responsibilities of the Jamaats will be to provide accommodation at people’s houses, provide meals and local transport within the towns while the transport between towns and local outings and so on will be borne by the organisers.

The size of the group is expected to be between 12 to15 and both boys and girls will be in the group.

All going well the visit will culminate in Mombasa during the 61st Supreme Council Session during the Easter holidays from 18th to 21st April 2003.

Please send your acceptance by Wednesday 22nd January 2003 to the Chairman of the AF-EBS Alhaj Iqbal Sunderji – Mombasa on Email address: share@africaonline.co.ke and copy it to the Secretariat.

With such a visit we intend to build a bridge for the benefit of our youths and we expect that our youths will visit the West in the future.

The Chairman of the Africa Federation, Alhaj Zulfikar Khimji has appointed Alhaj Amir Somji of Arusha to be the coordinator for Africa.
