Unite the youths of the community all over Africa under one banner for the realization of greater and effective participation and involvement in all spheres of religious, communal and secular life.


The AFED Youth Camp Moshi 2015 was held from 1st to 10th April 2015. On 29th March, the AYN Chairman, an AYN Committee Member and a mentor arrived at Moshi to start the ground work. They were later joined by Alhaj Muhsin Dharamsi from Bhavnagar, India – who served at the camp as a teacher and guide, and Alhaj Shabbirhussein Khalfan a resource from CBG of AFED, who helped at the camp as a facilitator and teacher – who arrived on the 30th to assist with the preparations.

The Africa Youth Network (AYN) in collaboration with the World Federation and the Africa Federation Capacity Building Groups (CBG) organised a Mentorship Development Programme held on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of March 2015, in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, at the KSIJ Dar-es-Salaam Gents’ Imambargah.

The session’s objectives were to equip the mentors and AYN administration team for the AFED Youth Camp - Moshi 2015. The aim was to equip them with the necessary skills required to be an effective mentor and understand and practise these concepts to develop an effective mentoring relationships.

A total of 25 youth attended the programme from Arusha, Dar-es-Salaam and Nairobi Jamaats, all forming part of the AFED Youth Camp - Moshi 2015 team, who will be mentoring and overall administrating at the Camp.

The Africa Youth Network (AYN) in collaboration with the Africa Federation Capacity Building Group (CBG) organized the first Youth Leadership Development Programme (YLDP) held in Africa under AFED on the 21st and 22nd February 2015, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

A total of 20 youth from Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Mombasa and Nairobi attended the session.
The aim of the development workshop was to allow participants to understand themselves better, unlock their potentials to serve the community, to realize their own leadership styles and enhance and evolve their skills. The graduates of the program will be participating in the AFED Youth Camp: Moshi 2015 as mentors and their learnings from the YLDP will play a pivotal role in preparing and developing them for the camp experience.

The Africa Federation Youth Network (AYN) launched the poetry competition on 28th October 2014 which was kindly sponsored by Al Haj Murtaza Kanani of Nairobi and Spiritual Journeys. The winner of the competition would be awarded a free Ziyarat Trip by Spiritual Journeys. Also the top 5 Poets would be aired on Safeer TV and IBN TV.

Following the appointment of the Africa Youth Network (AYN) in April 2014, the Board launched a Competition for rebranding the AYN logo; with a prize gift to the winner of US Dollars One Hundred and Fifty (US $ 150).
The criterion of the logo competition was to portray the mission and vision of AYN in the new logo. The vision is “Investing in the youth today, to build an intellectually, socially, and religiously prosperous community for tomorrow”.  The criteria of the logo design were encapsulated in three areas: (1) The logo should reflect the AYN Vision (2) Logo should have luminous colors to portray vibrancy (3) logo could be hand drawn or computer designed.
