The Chairman of the Africa Federation, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi is pleased to announce the appointment of Br. Muntazir Shabbir Meghji of Nairobi as Chairman of the Africa Federation Youth Network (AYN) for the remaining term; 2013 – 2016.
 
Br. Muntazir takes over from Br. Nishathussein Karim who has served the AYN in the capacity of Chairman for the past ten years (2004 - 2014). Br. Nishathussein’s contributions and selfless services towards the AYN has been enormous and exemplary. Several exciting and noteworthy activities, i.e. in the fields of education, social and recreation for the youth in Africa were introduced and developed during his tenure, for which we are very grateful. His experience and continuous support to the new AYN team will be of great benefit to all.

Brief Profile of Br. Muntazir Shabbir Meghji

Born in Dar-es-Salam, Tanzania in 1987, where he completed his primary education at Al-Muntazir Primary School. He obtained his Secondary education at Cambridge International School in Dubai, UAE.
 
Muntazir achieved his associate degree in Information Technology and Psychology from Middlesex University of London (Dubai Branch). Also, he is a Diploma holder in Business Administration and Accounts from Blue Ocean Institute of Education in Dubai.

Br. Muntazir has great passion in Graphic Designing and Photography; to develop further his skills and ambitions, he pursued a Diploma in Thereafter Certificate in Graphic Designing & Photography from the Blue Ocean Institute of Education.
 
Br. Muntazir started his career working for Emirates National Bank of Dubai for 4 years, started as a relationship officer and gradually promoted to Senior Manager Business Development. He relocated from Dubai to Nairobi in the year 2013 where he set up the photography firm and he is currently the Managing Director at Yousuf Fotography in Nairobi, Kenya.
 
In community services, he served as Head of Volunteers in Dubai Jamaat and also Head of Event Management in Jaffery Sports Club of Dubai, U.A.E. in the year 2011-2012.
 
Currently, Br. Muntazir is an integral part of the Youth Team in Nairobi, he is involved in enticing and mobilizing youth of Nairobi Jamaat towards volunteerism and social services, he is also part of the committee of the Religious Section and Head of Logistics and Budgeting in Event Management.
 
The Secretariat extends their heartiest congratulations to Br. Muntazir on his appointment and wishes him every success in his efforts in promoting and developing, team work, new ideas and new strategies for the youth network in Africa. We assure him of our full support and cooperation.
 
We also take this opportunity to thank the immediate past Chairman and Board Members of AYN – the important section of the youth wing of the Africa Federation for their untiring efforts, dedication and for contributing their valuable time in serving the youth of our community.
 
The AYN Chairman, Br. Muntazir Shabbir Meghji is in the process of forming his team, this will be announced as soon as completed.
