The Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTab) initiated for the first time Du’as and Ziyaraat Competition inviting all Jamaats to participate.  Eight Jamaats under the Africa Federation took part and conducted this important Competition within their Jamaats, many of these Jamaats arranged this Competition during the holy month of Ramadhan
 
The objective of the Competition was: 

  • To inspire the children and youths to regularly recite Du’as and Ziyaraat
  • To develop and excel in recitation skills and encourage Dua and Ziyaraat reciters.
  • To bring about awareness as to the potential present within the youths of our Community.

The Du’as & Ziyaraat that were selected for the Competition and the age categories targeted were:

  • 8 to 10 years –                Du’a Tawassul
  • 10+ to 12 years –            Hadithe Kisaa
  • 12+ to 14 years –            Du’a Iftitaah
  • 14+ to 16 years –            Ziyarat Waritha
  • 16+ to 18 years –            Du’a Kumail

A total of 199 children from the following Jamaats, between the ages of 8 years and 18 years partook in the final round of the Du’as/Ziyaraat Competition, they are:

  • Arusha,
  • Dar es Salaam,
  • Lubumbashi,
  • Moshi,
  • Nairobi,
  • Tanga,
  • Zanzibar Hujjatul Islam
  • Zanzibar Kuwwatul Islam

The participants were judged on their recitation of the Du’as and Ziyarat, based on the below mentioned criteria:

  • Accuracy
  • Makhraj
  • Fluency
  • Confidence
  • Essence of recitation (And   the     reflection)

*  Tajweed rules were not amongst the criteria for the recitation. 

The number of winners from the Male participants and Female participants has been outlined below.


The winners of the final round were awarded by AFTab through their respective Jamaats with flash drives containing beautiful Dua recitations, along with Certificates of Achievements.  All participants were also presented with Certificates of Participation.
 
Attached is a complete list of the Winners in each category in all the Jamaats that participated in the Competition.
 
AFTab wishes to express its gratitude to the Jamaats for having collaborated with them in the cause of the spiritual development of the children of the community and hope other Jamaats who did not participate this time will participate in the Competition in future.
