To promote the Madhab of Ahlul Bait (a.s.) with other non-member Shia communities and with Muslims and non-Muslims at large on our society.


The BMM Tanga Branch held its Annual Prize giving ceremony for all its Hawza and Madressa students during the holy month of Ramadhan 1435 AH.
 
Nearly one thousand Madressa students from 24 centres under BMM – Tanga took part in the terminal exams conducted during the month of Shaaban 1435 A.H.
 
The top three students in each centre were presented with gifts and the students who achieved the overall top three position in all the centres (i.e. combined top three) walked away with additional gifts. Consolation prize of White kanzu and kofia for boys and Chaadar for girls was presented to all the students who took part in the exams.

Bilal Muslim Mission on 29th August 2014 managed to send 6 members from different Women Groups in each zone to participate in the Agricultural Society (ASK) Show which was held in Mkomani, Mombasa. 

 










Objectives of the trip

  • Networking
  • Marketing - looking for end market for their products
  • Exposure of new business skills
The members were able to view and learn different things from different people during the show. Stalls like the Irrigation Schemes (i.e. nurseries & balcony farming), Veterinary, Chicken incubators, apiculture (Rearing of bees), Livestock rearing, poultry keeping, Charcoal Briquetting, green houses, Sugarcane millers, rope making, cotton farming and handicrafts were educative to the members.

Report No. 034 (Ramadhan 1435 A.H, July 2014)                                            

Holy Month of Ramadhan Relief Report 

Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanga carried out distribution of food and money during the first week of Mahe Ramadhan 1435 A.H. in all its centres in the region in and around Tanga City.
 
A total of 861 Shia families in all the 24 centres under BMM-Tanga benefitted from the relief distribution. Each family getting 10kg rice, 10kg of wheat flour, 5kg of sugar, 3litres cooking oil and cash 20,000/-. Almost 4,000kg of dates was distributed in all centres, including also some of the Sunni institutions in Tanga city. The entire distribution was personally supervised by Mudir of Hawzatul Qaim Sheikh Amiri Kipingu.
 
Iftaar is served in 22 centres on a daily basis. Qur’an Kha’ani sessions followed by Dua-e-Iftitah and short lectures are conducted in all the centres after Maghribain prayers.

Together WE can make a difference


 

Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya in August 2014 conducted a combined Module 1 training for all new members in Zainabiyya Women Group-Masongaleni, Rahma Women Group – Kilungu and Masumin Women Group – Nzavoni in Ukambani area.
 
The module was held for 5 days where sessions on group mobilization, leadership and savings skills were held and it was facilitated by the head trainer Sis Sidi Nyota and assisted by Sis Kauchi Chifui.
 
Sessions on Islamic Religious Education were also held during the training which was facilitated by the Muallim in charge Ust Said Ali Noor.   The Average daily attendance of the participants was 35.

ECOMONIC UPLIFTMENT PROJECT



On Sunday, 3rd August 2013, members from Rahma Women Group-Kilungu, Masumin Women Group – Nzavoni and Zainabiyya Women Group – Masongaleni combined together to host an Eid Trade Fare cum market day in in Masongaleni from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Economic Upliftment Groups from all 15 BMMK Centres were invited to participate in this event.

Local people from the area were very happy to see the women from different areas bringing different items for display and sale.

Ukambani area without rainfall makes it a very dry land hence has higher level of poverty. However the group yet proposed to host the trade Fare to uplift their living standards.

The event was graced by Ms. Catherine Kakui – official from Community Development Funds (CDF), Kibwezi, Ms. Rose Kaleli – Chairlady of Maendeleo ya Wanawake, Thange Ward, Kibwezi and Ms. Agnes Muya – Treasurer of Maendeleo ya wanawake, Thange Ward, Kibwezi. Also present were the village elders, the chairman of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and Young Women Group.
 
All the visitors were shown the products on display by the groups in each stall by the EUP trainers Sis Sidi Nyota and Sis Kauchi Chifui. They were happy to see women doing businesses and commended BMMK for supporting and empowering these groups. He was also interested in knowing about the EUP project at large.
