In collaboration with Ansar Day, the Mission hosted an exhibition cum market day on the first day of the Annual Women Empowerment seminar held from the 22nd February 2015 to the 26th February 2015. This was the second time the Mission hosted such an event since its initiation.

Two members from each BMM Kenya groups and 3 ladies from Nakuru showcased their businesses which are normally conducted in their rural centres.

REPRINTING & REPUBLISHING OF RELIGIOUS BOOKS:

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania (BMMT) in the processing of reviving important titles of Islamic literature has taken a major step to re-print most of the works of Marhum Syed Saeed Akhtar Rizvi to spread the message of True Islam as taught by the Ahlul Bayt (a.s).
 
BMMT has republished 8847 various titles that include Kanuni za Ibada, Haja ya Dini, Mafunzo ya Salaa, Maombolezo ya Ashura, Utume, Bibi mwenye Nuru (Fatema), Khazina ya Muumini, Risalatul Huquq, Muhimu wa Hijabu, mwanga wa Elimu, Isma ya Mitume, Muhimu wa Qur’an, Uadilifu wa Mungu and many more.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Mission in collaboration with IEB of World Federation of KSIMC, The Federation of KSI Jamaats of Africa and Central Bilal Board organized a ten day workshop for muballigheen and muballighat in an effort to create a platform to share knowledge and experience.

The workshop attracted 110 participants from various organizations in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi. The lead facilitator for the seminar was Alhaj Sheikh Ayub Rashid from the United Kingdom.  The workshop commenced on 22nd to the 31st of December 2014 at Bilal Hall.

INTRODUCTION OF COMMON SYLLABUS AND EXAMS IN ALL MADRASSAHS OF BILAL TANZANIA CENTRES

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania (BMMT) introduced a common Islamic syllabus and examination for all the Bilal centers throughout Tanzania prepared by the Head of Tabligh, Syed Arif Ali Naqvi.  The preparation of the common syllabus has commenced for Class 1 and 2 and also modules for higher classes have been prepared.
 
A Total number of 752 students (518 from Class 1 and 234 from Class 2) participated from 36 centers.

BILAL MUSLIM MISSION OF TANZANIA HOLDS FREE EYE & DIABETIC CAMP AT MAFIA ISLAND

 

In response to a request from the Mafia MP, Hon. Shah, the Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania held free eye camp at Kilindoni, Mafia Island, from 21st to 23rd November 2014. The eye camp and cataract surgeries were kindly sponsored by Beta Charitable Trust, Essex, U.K.
 
The camp was held at Kilindoni Primary School and the surgeries were carried out at Mafia Regional Hospital, Kilindoni.

BILAL MUSLIM MISSION ORGANIZES FREE EYE CAMP AND HUMANITARIAN SERVICES AT IFAKARA

Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania held FREE Eye Camp at Ifakara in Morogoro Region which is about 400 kilometers from Dar es Salaam. The Camp was held from 10th to 14th October 2014 whereby hundreds of people from different nearby villages gather for eye treatment.



3,360 people were screened, 2074 units of medicine were prescribed and 2797 spectacles including 208 sunglasses were given out.



The camp was held at Lipangalala Primary School, Ifakara. The Ophthalmologist Dr. Florance Mwakila diagnosed the cataract patients and surgeries were carried out at Ifaraka Government Hospital. Dr. Njau and his team carried out one hundred and seventy nine (179) cataract surgeries.
