Bilal Muslim Mission Tanga Branch presented gifts to all its students, both males and females from the Madrassah and Hawza and the teachers during the Holy month of Ramadhan.

Almost 1,000 students from all the 21 centers were presented with Kanzu (long white robe traditionally worn by male Muslims) and caps for boys and Chaadar (loose long veil worn by Muslim women) and head scarf for the girls.  The top three students from each class were given additional gifts. There was evident joy and excitement on the faces of the children while receiving their gifts .May Allah (SWT) reward the generous donors for making this possible every year. Ameen.

Bilal Tanga has announced this year as the Year of Education. Criterion has been put in place to ensure that no eligible student of Bilal misses out on secular education due to financial constraints. This is a commendable effort by Bilal Branch in Tanga, and we pray for every success in these endeavors.

Advice on career choices is also given to students who finish Form IV successfully.

MAHE RAMADHAN 1434 A.H (2013)

FEDERATION OF KSI JAMATS OF AFRICA & WORLD FEDERATION OF KSIMC

Bilal Muslim Mission in conjunction with the FEDERATION OF KSI JAMATS OF AFRICA & the WORLD FEDERATION OF KSI MUSLIM COMMUNITIES was able to distribute ration for iftar to the Muslims in the rural areas before the holy month of Ramadhan providing relief to the less fortunate families.

Total ration purchased for Masajids, Madaris and secondary schools cost K. Shs. 1,082,060/- which included maize flour, wheat flour, beans, sugar, rice and cooking oil.

Hawzatul Ilmiya Al- Imam Al Qaaim (A.T.F.S.) situated at the junction of Fifth and Makoko Streets in Tanga town, commenced operation on 13 Rajab 1428 AH (27th July 2007) under the management of the Bilal Muslim Mission Tanga Branch. It offers a Five-Year advance course leading to an Advanced Diploma in Islamic Knowledge. The subjects are taught in Arabic and include Qur'an, Fiqh, Aqaid, Usuul, Falsafa, Elimu-Rejal, Akhlaaq, Adabiyat:Nahwu, Swarfu, Balagha, English and Computer studies.

Fasting is a universal custom practiced by Muslims worldwide in the Holy month of Ramadhan. It is essential for us to remember the less fortunate in the society as we prepare ourselves for this holy month.

Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya, was able to distribute Iftar /Sehri to Masjids, families in the rural and urban areas, inmates of Shimo la tewa Borstal/Prison and students in the boarding schools benefited from this distribution.

DEATH ANNIVERSARRY OF H. ABU TWALIB A.S

bmmt1BMMTZ Tanga Branch held a majlis on 26th Rajab to commemorate the death anniversary of H. Abu Twalib (AS), the uncle and main protector of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) and the father of the first Imam H. Amirul Muumineen Ali (AS).

H. Abu Twalib (AS) protected the Prophet (SAWW) against the oppression, tyranny, humiliation and torture which was being meted out by the kuffars of Makka during the advent of Islam.
