BILAL CAMPUS RAMADHAN/EID ACTIVITY REPORT 2013

Bilal Comprehensive Schools Temeke undertook the following activities especially for the holy month of Ramadhan in order to ease and provide comfort to underprivileged families.

FOOD PACKETS

bcs_sept1Food packets were distributed to the subordinate staff, Teaching Staff and to some needy neighbours as well as Maalims of nearby Masajid and Madaris. The food packets consisted of dates, beans, cooking oil, maize flour, rice, sugar, white flour, margarine, tea leaves and other sundry items sufficient for a family of five for a month.  Each packet cost approximately TSH 60 000/-, (US$40).

Some donors provided special Eid food packets to the teaching and non-teaching staff, where packets of sugar, rice, beans and meat were given to them to celebrate Eid in comfort.

MAHE RAMADHAN 1434 AH REPORT

The holy month of Ramadhan 1434 saw a lot of religious activities undertaken at the various centers in the 7 regions of the Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania.

Programmes consisting of Qur'an recitation, Lectures, Prayers, Dua Ifftetah were organized regularly and followed by communal iftars at these centers. Some centers also held separate programmes for ladies also.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania  wishes to inform all our community members and members of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania that they have organized a special program titled "Prayers for the Oppressed" in collaboration with SeekPerfection. The event will be held at Masjid-e-Bilal, along Udowe Street, Kariakoo area in Dar es Salaam today (Thursday, 5th September, 2013), after Maghribain prayers, East Africa Time 7.00 p.m.

The program will include speeches by two renowned guest speakers; Sheikh Dr. Murtadha Alidina and Sheikh Hemed Jalala.

There will be a live broadcast of the program worldwide on AhlulBayt TV as well as on SeekPerfection (Seekperfection.org) live stream.

All are invited.

The program will end with Dua-e-Jawshane Sageer and Niyaz.

Bilal Muslim Mission Tanga Branch presented gifts to all its students, both males and females from the Madrassah and Hawza and the teachers during the Holy month of Ramadhan.

Almost 1,000 students from all the 21 centers were presented with Kanzu (long white robe traditionally worn by male Muslims) and caps for boys and Chaadar (loose long veil worn by Muslim women) and head scarf for the girls.  The top three students from each class were given additional gifts. There was evident joy and excitement on the faces of the children while receiving their gifts .May Allah (SWT) reward the generous donors for making this possible every year. Ameen.

Bilal Tanga has announced this year as the Year of Education. Criterion has been put in place to ensure that no eligible student of Bilal misses out on secular education due to financial constraints. This is a commendable effort by Bilal Branch in Tanga, and we pray for every success in these endeavors.

Advice on career choices is also given to students who finish Form IV successfully.

INVITATION FOR NEW INTAKE – 1434 AH (2013)

Hawzatul Ilmiya Al- Imam Al Qaaim (A.T.F.S.) situated at the junction of Fifth and Makoko Streets in Tanga town, commenced operation on 13 Rajab 1428 AH (27th July 2007) under the management of the Bilal Muslim Mission Tanga Branch. It offers a Five-Year advance course leading to an Advanced Diploma in Islamic Knowledge. The subjects are taught in Arabic and include Qur'an, Fiqh, Aqaid, Usuul, Falsafa, Elimu-Rejal, Akhlaaq, Adabiyat:Nahwu, Swarfu, Balagha, English and Computer studies.
