Once again BMM-Tanga sponsored its Hawza student who stood first in Exams to visit the House of Allah (SWT). This year the lucky student is  Abdallah Mgomba of 4th year at Al Qaaim Hawza. We thank the generous donor for making this spiritual journey possible and pray to the Almighty to reward them in this world and the hereafter.

We are pleased to provide a brief report of the various religious, social and humanitarian activities carried out by Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania (BMMT), Tanga branch during the holy month of Ramadhan 1437 A.H.

VISIT OF HAFIDHUL QUR’AN – SHAIKH MUHAMMADTAKI KHAN

During the last week of Shab’an 1437 AH, BMMT, Tanga was blessed by the visit of Shk. Muhammadtaki Khan, who has memorized the Holy Qur’an in 52 different ways.

During his three day stay in Tanga region, he also visited various Sunni mosques including Msikiti wa Ijumaa (Str.No.9), Zahrau Islamic Centre, TAMTA, Pangani and Horohoro border. Bilal Tanga would like to thank Shk. Muhammadtaki Khan and his team for accepting our invitation and carrying out the Tabligh work through the Holy book in Tanga region. May the Almighty accept his and his companion’s efforts and devotions, Ameen.

MAHE RAMADHAN RELIEF FUND AND DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD RATION

BMMT, Tanga branch carried out distribution of food during the Holy Month Ramadhan 1437 A.H.

A total of 1,023 Shia families who reside in 25 centres run by BMMT - Tanga benefitted from the relief distribution with each family getting 10kg rice, 10kg of wheat flour, 5kg of sugar. Almost 230 bags of 30kg each of dates was distributed in all the centres including some of the Sunni institutions in Tanga city. The entire distribution was personally supervised by Mudir of Hawzatul Qaim, Sheikh Amiri Kipingu. BMMT - Tanga also sponsored Iftaar for all 30 days which was served in all these centres.

BILAL MUSLIM MISSION OF TANZANIA HOLDS
FREE EYE CAMP AT KILOSA IN MOROGORO REGION
(22-26 APRIL 2016)

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania organized a 4-Days Free Eye Camp upon the invitation received from Member of Parliament Mh. Bawazir Kisa.

Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania conducted the Camp from 22nd to 26th April 2016 at Kilosa District which is 310 kms from Dar es Salaam; the surgeries were sponsored by BETA Charitable Trust, Essex of U.K.

Camp was set at Mazinyungu Primary School and the surgeries performed at Kilosa Hospital at their common surgery section.

People from various villages in the Kilosa District registered for the Free Eye treatment, and 3,380 patients of various ages were screened, details are given below:

BRIEF REPORT OF MAHE RAMADHAN 1437 A.H.

BILAL TANGA BRANCH ORGANISES INTER-FAITH IFTAAR

Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania, Tanga Branch organized a Grand Iftaar on Friday 1st of July 2016 in enhancing unity amongst Muslims of different sects in Tanga city.
 
The event was well attended with almost all the invited guests and dignitaries taking part, about 300 people attended this event.

Public Speaking Workshop – Enhancing the Talents

BMM-Tanga branch organized a two-day workshop on Public Speaking skills with the help of Br. Akil Lalji and Br. Ali Seif of Arusha on the 24th and 25th of April 2016.

About 30 male teachers from all our centres benefitted from this workshop.

We are very grateful to Br. Akil Lalji and Br .Ali Seif for accepting our invitation and coming all the way from Arusha to Tanga to assist in training our teachers on Public Speaking. May the Almighty reward them amply for their efforts.
