Ramadhan Relief in Arusha area – Part 2

The Missions branch in Arusha continued with food distributions to Muslims in the vicinity of the township. Food packets worth Shs. 30,000.00 (sufficing a family of 4) were delivered to 55 families/widows/widowers/orphans around Unga Ltd in Nduruma.

Like in the previous years, the distribution of essential food ration was carried out this year for the holy month of Ramadhan in all Regional Centres of Bilal Muslim Mission. The purpose is primarily to assist our Shia brethrens and to reach out to the poor and deserving families to ease their difficulties so that they can fast and participate in the ibada'at of the holy month with ease and comfort.

The Food Ration with basic necessities were meant to reach the needy and deserving families in all our centres in good time to lessen the brunt of the current economic crisis and make their fasting as comfortable as possible.

BILAL IKWIRIRI BRANCH RENOVATES
"MASJID AHLUL BAIT"

Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania established a centre at Ikwiriri village 160 kms south of the capital city Dar es Salaam in the year 1999. Maintenance costs were met through generous donations from well wishers over the years. In the year 2011 Beta Charitable sponsored the Ikwiriri development program, which envisioned in making the mosque maintenance a self financing project. Alhaj Ahmed Morrawej then the Economic Empowerment Officer at Bilal Tanzania with the Bilal community members came up with a project of "Self Reliance" to generate income through the sale of fresh water from the well that was dug earlier near the mosque as a first step. Tanks, pump and plumbing material were installed through the funds.

The Talbiyya echoed loudly in Bilal Husaiynia at Temeke on 15th of Ramadhan 1433 celebrating the birthday of our 2nd Imam, Imam Hassan Ibn Ali Ibn Abi Ta'alib (a.s.) and towards the end, the nomination for the Hajj package was announced at the function held at Bilal Husaiynia at Temeke.
