BILAL CAMPUS- TEMEKE COMMEMORATES SHAHADAH OF
SAYYIDA FATEMAH (SA)

Bilal Campus once again commemorated the martyrdom ‘Shahabad’ of the Holy Lady Hazrat. Fatemah (SA) on 3rd Jammadil al Thanni (4 April 2014) with various programmes at both the School and the Hawza.

Students of middle grade levels started the program with Zohr prayers followed by the recitation of Holy Qur’an and poems (Utenzi/Marsia) on the Holy Lady.

Leaflets on the cause of martyrdom of this Holy Lady (SA) were distributed to students and teachers in order to spread information about her death.

A drama portraying the final hours of this Lady and her last Will was presented also portrayed her first ever smile following the sad demise of her father. The drama ended with showing the identification of the handful of companions that attended her burial.

The programme ended with Nawha and Ziyarat of the Holy Lady and presenting salaams to the Imam (atfs).

Hawzatul Bilal also commemorated the martyrdom of the Holy Lady (AS) immediately after Zohrain prayers. Amongst the invited guests were participants from Madrasatul Haddad from Mbagala, Madrasatul Swiffatun Nabawiyya, Madrasatul Tanzania, representatives from Mchambe Masjid and Masjid Thaqafa- of our Sunni brethrens, and Madrasatul Ahlulbayt, Tandika.

Shk Mohammed Mwarekwa from DYCC School Chan’gombe and Shk Yasin Iddi from Bilal Comprehensive School enlightened the public with informative lectures. They spoke on the qualities of Holy Lady (AS) and the history relating to her tribulations after the death of her father, the Holy Prophet (SAWW), all from references contained in Ahlul Sunnah books - this was an eye opener to our Sunni brothers who had never been exposed to such information.

The programme ended with nawha (latmiya), Ziyarat and Niyaz (lunch) for the participants.
