There is no force equal to a woman who is determined to rise”

In collaboration with Ansar Day, the Mission hosted an exhibition cum market day on the first day of the Annual Women Empowerment seminar held from the 22nd February 2015 to the 26th February 2015. This was the second time the Mission hosted such an event since its initiation.

Two members from each BMM Kenya groups and 3 ladies from Nakuru showcased their businesses which are normally conducted in their rural centres.

Different stalls like vegetables/farm fresh, herbals, handicrafts and cloth items were exhibited by the members. The Mission also presented the Live Goat and the Tailoring projects in the exhibition.

Special guests like Mr. J. D Seda from the Ministry of energy and consumption, Mr Mohamed Jaffer, managed to attend the exhibition.

Comments from the visitors:

I was indeed glad to see all items made by the Bilal Muslim Mission women. They are working hard and progressing. They should have more such events. People are eager to buy items.”  Unknown

A good work on sustainable development in the community. Much has been done on this good initiative at most in empowering the women. On continued trainings and empowerment the groups will go far.” Stephen K. Kyalo, KWETU training centre

“I am impressed with the exhibits, the exhibitors and the organizers enthusiasm. Let us have more exhibits next year.” Unknown

The Mission records its appreciation to Ansar Day for their noble support which has made it possible for us to empower and motivate these ladies to work harder and make a good living to support their respective families
